“If I’m around when there is a cure for spinal cord injuries, I want to be strong enough to be a candidate and the F.E.S. bike is strengthening my legs.” “I can’t believe how much stronger I felt on my 4-wheeler this summer because of the F.E.S. bike.” “I’m finding it easier to walk because I’ve been using the bike.” These are some things people are saying about the impact the F.E.S. bike has had on them. People with Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s, Spinal Cord Injuries, Stroke, Brain Injuries, and Cerebral Palsy are all experiencing some impact on their health and well-being by exercising on this unique piece of equipment. Due to the generosity of many organizations and individuals in the community, the Sheridan County YMCA was able to purchase a second Functional Electrical Stimulation bike needed to accommodate people with neurological conditions. The Y would like to sincerely thank the following donors for making this possible.
